Uşak University has been ranked among the top 500 universities in the "UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking System".
According to the 2024 results of the "UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking System", Uşak University has risen 187 places this year to rank 489th.
The "UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking System" evaluates world universities in areas such as environmental sensitivity, energy, waste, transportation management, and sustainability. According to the 2024 results, Uşak University has risen 187 places to rank 489th. In 2023, Uşak University was ranked 676th with a score of 5625, and this year increased its score to 6740, breaking into the top 500 universities by ranking 489th.
Uşak University was also ranked 46th among 120 universities in Türkiye.
Uşak University, which has been improving its rankings in international accreditation organizations such as Webometrics, SCImago, THE, and QS every year, has once again entered the UI GreenMetric (Top "Green Campuses" globally) ranking in 2024 and succeeded in being among the top 500 universities. Uşak University is ranked 46th among the 120 universities from Türkiye in this list.
Rector Savaş: ‘We are raising our targets higher every year’
In his statement regarding the ranking, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş emphasized the commitment of Uşak University in the field of environment and sustainability and said:
"UI GreenMetric evaluates universities on criteria such as energy, water conservation, waste management, green transportation, and sustainability policies. Our university climbs higher in the rankings each year with the progress made in these areas. Being among the top 500 globally this year is an indicator that we are on the right path. I thank everyone in the Uşak University family who contributed to this success."
In the evaluation, in which 1477 universities were included worldwide, Uşak University ranked 489th, rising 187 places compared to last year, and once again found its place among the world universities in 2024. Our university, which received 930 points in the structure and infrastructure category, scored 1285 in the energy and climate change category, 1050 in the waste category, 600 in the water category, 1350 in the education and research category, and 1525 in the transportation category, surpassing many universities in the USA, Russia, and Europe.
