Uşak University rose to a higher level this year, ranking among the 1001-1500 universities globally within the SDGs.
Among the 91 Turkish universities on the list, Uşak University ranked between 401-600 in "SDG-4: Quality Education," "SDG-7: Affordable and Clean Energy," and "SDG-9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure." It also ranked between 601-800 in "SDG-6: Clean Water and Sanitation" and "SDG-11: Sustainable Cities and Communities," and between 801-1000 in "SDG-5: Gender Equality" and "SDG-17: Partnerships for the Goals," achieving ranking positions in 10 out of the 17 SDG categories.
Expressing pride in Uşak University’s continued presence in the 2024 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş stated that the university is steadily progressing towards its strategic goals through quality initiatives.
Rector Savaş remarked, “A total of 100 universities from Turkey made the list. Many of these universities are older than ours. As Uşak University, we are proud to have established our name among the world's reputable universities in just 18 years. The foundation of our success lies in the quality work, accreditation, and internationalization efforts we implement at our university.”
Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş thanked all academic and administrative staff for their contributions to Uşak University's success. He emphasized the importance of the THE rankings for higher education institutions and concluded his remarks by saying, “Students choosing our university in the 2024 YKS preference period will not only gain a profession but also have the opportunity to study at a university recognized globally with internationally valid diplomas.”
