TÜBİTAK's "Field-Based Competence Analysis of Universities" study, which enables the comparative evaluation of the research performances of universities on the basis of technology subfields, has been published.

Uşak University is the 2nd in Turkey in two Sub-Fields

While being ranked among the best universities in Turkey in 28 research fields in the "Field-Based Competency Analysis of Universities" prepared by TÜBİTAK in 2023, Uşak University also ranked 2nd in Turkey in two sub-fields (Internal Combustion Engine and Engine Drivetrain and Dermatology).

Moreover, Uşak University ranked 6th in the volume indicator in the sub-field of Textile Engineering and Technologies, which is one of the fields of specialization.

Uşak University has managed to be on the list with 76 research areas

Within the scope of the research “Competency Map” was created by calculating raw data for various criteria on the basis of sub-research areas for 200 universities, separately in 132 sub-research areas.

These data were based on various criteria such as the number of publications and the number of citations to these publications, the number of academicians contributed by universities to these publications, the number of publications in the top 10 percent of the world's most cited citations by universities, and the number of international cooperation publications by universities. In the evaluation made within this scope, Uşak University took place in 76 fields.

Outstanding Achievement in 28 Areas

When the field graphs are examined, Uşak University showed outstanding success in 28 fields in the 1st region, where both quality and volume scores were above the median. These areas are stated as:

Textile Engineering and Technologies, Internal Combustion Engine and Engine Drivetrain, Fluid Power, Dynamics and Fluid Machines, Polymers and Plastics, Mathematics, Bioenergy, Nuclear Energy, Solar Energy, Energy Efficiency, Condensed Matter Physics, Surface, Coating and Films, Surfaces and Interfaces, Ceramic and Composite Materials, Aircraft Design, Testing and Performance, Food safety, Food Processing, Animal Nutrition, Agronomy, Physical Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy, Civil Engineering, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Education, Economics, Business and Politics and International Relations

National and International Achievements Continue to Rising

Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, in his statement on the subject, underlined that their universities have achieved both national and international successes with their studies in recent years. Stating that these achievements are the result of the hard work of all units of Uşak University, Savaş said that working is the most beneficial capital and that success cannot be achieved without working.

Stating that they have reached world standards in terms of research, R&D, P&D, university-industry cooperation and education quality, Prof. Dr. Savaş said that from the first moment they took office, they worked to raise Uşak University even higher than it was, and these efforts were rewarded.
