Uşak University became one of the 30 universities entitled to receive an institutional accreditation certificate from the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK).

Uşak University's basic activities such as education, R&D and social contribution have been registered by YÖKAK. Uşak University was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program for 2022.

Within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) implemented by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) in order to increase the quality of higher education institutions and contribute to quality assurance, Uşak University was awarded 'Institutional Accreditation'.

Following the evaluation program carried out by independent evaluation teams based on the internal evaluation report of the institutions, Uşak University was accredited for two years with the decision taken at the YÖKAK April board meeting on April 26, 2023.

Stating that the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) has become one of the important elements of the quality assurance of the higher education system, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş underlined in his statement that a university with institutional accreditation stands out compared to other universities.

Prof. Dr. Savaş stated that the quality studies they started since the moment they took office have yielded results and that this success is an indicator of how Uşak University has set the right goals. Stating that they have been accredited by YÖKAK for the next two years, Rector Savaş said, "This is just the beginning. Because quality is not a goal with an endpoint, but a never-ending process. We will continue our work with this awareness. Our goal is to achieve quality in all units of our university and to maximize the quality of education."

Pointing out that in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS, conducted by OSYM) Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, the information of higher education institutions granted institutional accreditation by YÖKAK is shared with the public, Prof. Dr. Savaş said, "Geography, History and Turkish Language and Literature programs of our Faculty of Arts and Sciences were accredited for 5 years, Archaeology, Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Genetics and Art History for 3 years, and Turkish Language Teaching and Primary Mathematics Teaching programs of our Faculty of Education for 3 years. Now our university has also been accredited for two years and we will take our place as an accredited university in the 2023 YKS Guide. These documents are very important for students who will make preferences."

Rector Savaş acknowledged those who contributed to the accreditation process and said, "I would like to thank the members of the quality commission of our university, our academic and administrative staff, and all our internal and external partners for their efforts throughout the accreditation process."
