Fire Extinguishing - Protection - Rescue Trainings for Emergency Teams

“Fire Extinguishing, Protection and Rescue Training” was organized on March 26, 2025 for the emergency teams working within Uşak University. The training, which was held in Mustafa Kemal Pasha Amphitheater, aimed to increase knowledge and awareness of the personnel working in the relevant units.

The training program was given by Uşak Municipality Fire Chief Mustafa Toker and Occupational Safety Specialist Lecturer Dr. Fatma Akpolat.

Mustafa Toker provided theoretical and practical information on the definition of fire, types of fire, interventions that can be done at the onset of fire and effective use of fire extinguishing devices.

Dr. Fatma Akpolat, who coordinated the program, provided a comprehensive training on the basic concepts of occupational health and safety, prevention of occupational accidents, obligations of employers and employees, emergency planning and life, property, information and environmental safety.

Abdullah Taşavlı, who has 14 years of experience in the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate, attended the training as a guest speaker. Taşavlı contributed to the training process by sharing his sectoral experiences with the participants.

The fire extinguishing training, organized for the sixth time this year at Uşak University, was followed with interest by the participants. At the end of the training, practical awareness was gained in addition to theoretical knowledge in order to be prepared for emergencies and minimize possible risks.
