Within the scope of the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of Family’ by Uşak University Faculty of Fine Arts Painting Department, ‘Family Year Group Student Exhibition’ was opened on Monday, 24 March 2025.

Uşak University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav and Prof. Dr. Osman Birgin, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Mithat Yılmaz, academicians and students attended the exhibition held in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center Foyer Area.

Making the opening speech of the exhibition, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Mithat Yılmaz gave information about the works of the students and emphasised the importance of family.

Drawing attention to the importance of family for society, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfü Özav congratulated the students who opened such an exhibition within the scope of the ‘Year of Family’ and the academicians who coordinated the exhibition. After the speeches, the guests visited the exhibition.

The exhibition includes 25 paintings on the theme of family by the students of the Department of Painting. The students conveyed their own perspectives on the concept of family by explaining their works to the visitors in the exhibition area. Themes such as mother-child relationship, compassion, loyalty and protectiveness come to the fore in the paintings.

The academic coordination of the event is undertaken by Doç. Zafer Güngen and Arş. Gör. Dr. Ahu Akkan.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until 28 March 2025.
