Major Investment in Health and Education from Uşak University

The tender process for the Uşak University Faculty of Dentistry Practice and Research Hospital building has been completed. Construction is scheduled to begin at the start of December, with the hospital expected to make a significant contribution to healthcare services in Uşak and the surrounding region.

- A Capacity of 200 Units, Serving 2,000 Patients Daily -
The Uşak University Faculty of Dentistry Practice and Research Hospital will have a total gross area of 15,000 m² and a capacity of 200 units, allowing it to serve 200 patients simultaneously and approximately 2,000 patients daily.

The new hospital building will include:

  • Imaging Facilities: 3 tomography and ortho film rooms, 6 periapical film rooms.
  • Surgical Units: Two local operating rooms with six units each (patient capacity) for the Departments of Surgery and Periodontology.
  • General Facilities: Two general anesthesia operating rooms, five patient rooms, one sedation unit, and two clinics for fourth- and fifth-year students.
  • Educational Spaces: Four classrooms with 150-person capacity each, a 207-person conference hall, and two student laboratories (preclinical and simulation), supporting education and research activities.

Rector Savaş: The New Hospital Will Add Great Value to Uşak
In his statement, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş emphasized that this new healthcare facility represents a major step toward meeting the region’s needs in dentistry. He noted:

"With our new hospital, our current daily patient capacity of 500-550 will increase to 2,000. Our hospital, with its modern infrastructure and extensive service capacity, will serve as one of Uşak University's leading health projects, adding value to Uşak and the region. Our Faculty of Dentistry, a top choice in student preferences, continues to provide the best services to Uşak and the region with its experienced academic and healthcare staff. I extend my gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and everyone involved in making this significant investment a reality."
