Our Students Meet with Important Names of the City

 "Mansion Talks" have started.

 Our students meet with prominent names of the city in the "Mansion Talks" program, which is held every week at the Uşak University Student Mansion and Cultural Center.

 In "Mansion Talks", our students have the opportunity to meet with important names from different fields. These talks which are held on Friday evenings, aim to enrich the knowledge and experience of our students.

Rector Savaş: “We provide an environment where our students can improve themselves and access information.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, in his speech before this week's talk, said, “We aim to create an environment where our students can improve themselves and access knowledge and experience with such activities in our Student Mansion and Cultural Center. Our young people, who have the opportunity to come together with important names of the city, will have the opportunity to communicate with the leading names in their professions and benefit from their experiences. We welcome our students to 'Mansion Talks' organized in our mansion every Friday evening. I would like to thank our guest this week, Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır, for coming together with our students and for the information he will convey.”

Rector Savaş: ''Our Student Mansion and Cultural Center is a place where our students can read books, study and organize various activities.''

In his speech, Rector Savaş stated that as Uşak University, they always prioritize providing the best service to students and staff and said, “Our Student Mansion and Cultural Center is designed to provide an environment where students can study, improve themselves by reading books and enrich themselves with social activities. With various activities, we will bring our students together with our guests who are experts in different fields and expand their knowledge. As Uşak University, we will always continue to stand by our students and staff and meet their needs in the best way possible.”

The guest of this week's interview, Uşak Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır, gave information to the students on religious and moral values. Çakır talked about the importance of spiritual development and gave advice on coping with the difficulties they face. Burhan Çakır also underlined that the Presidency of Religious Affairs, which was established in 1924, is one of the most important institutions in Turkiye and explained the services and scholarships offered by the Presidency in detail.

After the interview, a ney concert was performed by Muhammed Said Karabacak under the direction of Lecturer Dr. Onur Altıntuğ.

At the end of the program, Rector Savaş presented a plaque of appreciation to Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır in memory of the day.

 Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Ali Yılmaz, academicians and administrative staff also attended the event.

About Uşak University Student Mansion and Cultural Center

Uşak University Student Mansion and Cultural Center, which was allocated to the university from historical Uşak houses, offers various facilities to students and staff with its well-equipped garden and interior space.

Meeting and Event Areas

Uşak University Student Mansion and Cultural Center has a meeting room for 40 people and an indoor and outdoor area for 150 people for student activities and hosts the activities of student organizations. In this way, students can carry out activities such as studying, reading and resting in a decent environment.

Music concerts will be held on Wednesday evenings and 'Mansion Talks' will be held on Friday evenings at the Student Mansion and Cultural Center.

Working Hours

Uşak University Student Mansion and Cultural Center serves between 10:00-22:00 on weekdays and weekends, except national and public holidays.
