Uşak University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture provided training on "Walnut Cultivation" within the scope of the Leader project carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, EU and Eşme District Governorship.

Horticulture Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşen Melda Çolak, who met with local producers within the scope of the Leader Project 'Agriculture Academy', an innovative approach developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the EU and the District Governorship of Eşme to enable local communities to participate in their local development processes, gave information on a wide range of topics from the characteristics of the walnut planting area to irrigation and maintenance methods. Explaining the importance of walnut production for the region, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çolak ended the training by answering questions from the producers.
