Uşak University once again ranked among the top 1000 universities in the "UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking System".

According to the 2023 results of the "UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking System", which evaluates world universities in the fields of environmental awareness, energy, waste, transportation management and sustainability, Uşak University rose 113 places and ranked 676th. Uşak University, which had a score of 4370 in 2022, increased its score to 5625.

-Uşak University ranked 59th among 98 universities in Turkey.

Uşak University, which improves its ranking every year in the rankings of international organizations such as Webometrics, SCImago, THE and QS, which are important accreditation institutions in the world, has once again managed to be among the top thousand universities in the UI GreenMetric (Worldwide "Greenest Campuses") ranking in 2023. Uşak University ranks 59th in the list of 98 universities from Turkey.

Stating that Uşak University ranks higher and higher every year in the GreenMetric ranking, which evaluates the current status and policies of universities regarding green campus and sustainability, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said, "UI GreenMetric, which aims to encourage more attention to the fight against global climate change, energy and water saving, waste recycling and green transportation by attracting the attention of university administrators and stakeholders, evaluates the environmental commitments and initiatives of universities through 39 indicators in 6 criteria. Our university is becoming more prominent in these criteria every year. By complying with these criteria, we strive to leave a livable world for our children, who are our future, while providing an environmentally friendly campus for our students."

In the evaluation, in which 1183 universities were included in the ranking at the international level, Uşak University, which ranked 676th in 2023 by rising 113 places compared to last year, once again took its place among the world universities. Our university scored 740 points in the building and infrastructure category of the ranking, 1010 points in the energy and climate change category, 900 points in the waste category, 500 points in the water category, 1150 points in the education and research category, and 1325 points in the transportation category, leaving many universities in the USA, Russia and Europe behind.
