Uşak University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ercan Kılıçarslan was awarded the TÜBA-GEBİP (Outstanding Young Scientist) Award by the Turkish Academy of Sciences. The award, which is given in the fields of natural, engineering, health and social sciences in order to encourage young scientists to continue their studies in Turkey, contributes greatly to Turkey's promotion and scientific development in the international scientific community.
As one of the 25 outstanding young scientists deemed worthy of this prestigious award, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kılıçarslan proudly represented the name of Uşak University on national and international scientific platforms. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kılıçarslan was awarded in the Natural Sciences category of TÜBA-GEBİP for his work in the field of Mathematical Physics.
2024 TÜBA Awards Found Their Owners
TÜBA Awards, under the auspices of the Presidency, were presented to their owners at the 'TÜBA-TÜBİTAK Science Awards' ceremony held at the Presidential Complex on December 18, 2024. At the ceremony held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, TÜBA International Academy Awards, TÜBA-GEBİP Award and TÜBA-TESEP (Scientific Copyright) Awards were presented.
In his speech at the TÜBA and TÜBİTAK Science Awards Ceremony, President Erdoğan said, “We are taking firm steps towards the goal of a great and powerful Turkey that leads the age, not lagging behind it. As a country and a nation, we stand firmly on the ground and take firm steps.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, who attended the ceremony, congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ercan Kılıçarslan, who was awarded the TÜBA-GEBİP Award, and emphasized that the scientific achievements of Uşak University have reached a proud level. Prof. Dr. Savaş said, “Such awards prove the success of our academic staff at national and international level.
