Uşak Governor Dr. Naci Aktaş came together with university students at the career interview organized within the framework of the ‘University - City Meetings Project’ initiated by Uşak University Alumni Office and Career Development Coordinatorship.

The programme, which took place at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Centre and attracted great interest of the students, was attended by Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Kenan Taş, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav and Prof. Dr. Osman Birgin, Alumni Office and Career Development Coordinator Dr. Doğan Hatun, faculty deans, college directors and academicians.

Rector Savaş: ‘With the programmes we organize as Uşak University, we bring together valuable people who have distinguished with their knowledge and experience both in Uşak and in our region with our students.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş stated that as Uşak University, they organize events that bring together successful and experienced people in their fields with students and today they are happy to host Uşak Governor Dr. Naci Aktaş. Prof. Dr. Savaş stated that within the scope of the programmes titled Hasbihal in Konak and University-City Meetings, they brought together the prominent people of Uşak and the region with their knowledge and experience with the students and said, ‘Such events, which we organize to add new visions to our precious students, contribute to the academic, professional and social development of our esteemed students. ‘In the career interview organized within the scope of ‘University - City Meetings’, the Governor of our city Dr. Naci Aktaş is our guest today. I would like to thank him for his participation and the valuable information he will provide’.

Governor Dr. Naci Aktaş, who started his speech by expressing his happiness to be together with the youth, told the students about his own background, career journey and gave advice on future goals. Answering the questions of the students, Governor Dr. Aktaş made informative statements on the issues that the participants were curious about.

Governor Dr. Aktaş: ‘’Work planned and regularly in line with your goals. ‘’

Governor Dr. Aktaş shared what his profession requires, the trainings he received and his experiences and told the youth to work in a planned and regular manner in line with their future goals.

Governor Naci Aktaş; ‘Use your mind. Do not entrust your mind to others. Read, investigate and learn about our civilization. We are the descendants of a nation with a very long-standing state tradition. Have confidence in yourselves, we have confidence in you.’

Governor Aktaş advised young people to improve themselves while they have time, to learn a foreign language or to play an instrument and to read plenty of books.

The programme ended with Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş presenting a Plaque of Appreciation to Governor Dr. Naci Aktaş and taking a group photo.
