Conference titled ‘Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a Soldier and Statesman’ was held

Within the scope of 10 November Atatürk Remembrance Day and Week at Uşak University, a conference titled ‘Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a Soldier and Statesman’ was held by Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Centre and History Society.

The conference held in Mustafa Kemal Pasha lecture theatre was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav, speaker Atatürk Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Centre Director Prof. Dr. Sadiye Tutsak, provincial protocol, faculty deans, academicians, administrative staff and students.

 

Before the conference, Meltem Altıntuğ, lecturer at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, and Onur Altıntuğ, lecturer at the Faculty of Education, gave an opening concert consisting of Atatürk's favourite works.

 

Prof. Dr. Sadiye Tutsak emphasised Atatürk's military strategies, leadership qualities and his role in the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and discussed the importance of Atatürk in Turkey's struggle for independence and his determination to lay the foundations of modern Turkey. Presenting a broad perspective from Atatürk's achievements in his military life to his revolutions during his statesmanship, Tutsak emphasised the importance of conveying Atatürk's vision to young generations by explaining Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's contribution to the fundamental values of the Republic of Turkey with his farsighted and innovative statesman identity.

The conference ended with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav presenting a plaque of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Sadiye Tutsak, Director of Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Centre.
