Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş met with students of Uşak Ertuğrul Gazi Imam Hatip High School as part of the "HİKMET" (Dream-Science-Culture-Civilization-Education-Technology) project organized by the Ministry of National Education Directorate of Religious Education.

Within the framework of the project, which was realized with the understanding of "From Human to Human with an education philosophy that reconciles the mind and the heart" in the perspective of the Turkey Century vision, Rector Savaş gave a presentation titled "The Secret Behind Western Civilization: Islamic Science."

In his presentation, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş elaborated on the contributions of Islamic civilization to science. Providing information about mathematicians within Islamic science history and the life of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, as well as various institutions that he initiated studies on Islamic science history, Prof. Dr. Savaş conveyed the contributions of Islamic mathematicians to Western civilization with information and documents from historical sources.

Indicating that Western civilization was built on Islamic scientific works, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş told the students, "History imposes duties on you. Believe that we can produce another Al-Khwarizmi, Al-Haytham, Al-Khazini, Mimar Sinan. All we need to do is work. Let your beacon be Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin."

Prof. Dr. Savaş said, "Look at Islamic civilization in history. We established Western civilization. We can do it again. Mimar Sinan, Yunus Emre, Rumi, Saladin, Mehmed the Conqueror had one concern: 'Doing their work with love.' Do the same. Have a goal. Broaden your vision."

The conference ended after the presentation of gifts.
