The Uşak University Leather, Textile, and Ceramic Design Application and Research Center (DTS Design Center) continues to design for Turkey's significant institutions. Adding to its portfolio of designing for institutions such as 112 Emergency Health Services, National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), Post and Telegraph Organization (PTT), Directorate General of Forestry, and Havelsan, Uşak University's DTS Design Center has now added another one. The DTS Design Center has reached an agreement to also design clothing and equipment for the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) personnel.

Uşak University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, and the DTS Design Center team visited the AFAD Headquarters to present the final designs prepared for AFAD. The meeting, chaired by AFAD President Governor Okay Memiş, was attended by AFAD General Managers and Department Heads.

During the meeting, final critiques of the designs were received, and revision work was planned. It was decided that the designs of AFAD clothing and equipment would be carried out by the DTS Design Center.

In his statement, Rector Prof. Dr. Savaş highlighted that the Uşak University DTS Design Center, which has designed clothing for many public institutions to date, has added another one to its list. He stated, "Our DTS Design Center has solidified its success by starting to design AFAD clothing and equipment. Developing designs that will meet the needs of a critical institution like AFAD once again demonstrates our university's design capabilities. Clothing and equipment specially designed for the safety and comfort of AFAD personnel will support their critical work in the field."

Rector Savaş emphasized that clothing and equipment with technical and functional features, resistant to harsh conditions while prioritizing comfort, will be prepared specifically according to the wishes and demands of AFAD personnel. He said, "The design preparations made by our DTS Design Center have been presented multiple times at the AFAD Headquarters, opinions have been taken from AFAD management, and many different products have been developed. Our DTS Design Center, comprised of a young, dynamic, and experienced team, will continue to achieve numerous national and international successes in design. I congratulate them once again and thank them for their dedicated efforts."
