A plaque of appreciation was presented to the Rector of Uşak University, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, by the Uşak Celiac PKU Together Association for the addition of a gluten-free menu option to the university cafeteria menu.

In addition to Rector Savaş, the iftar program organized by the Uşak Celiac PKU Together Association at the Uşak University Student Dormitory was attended by Deputy Governor Burak Bozkurt Gürses, Director of Family and Social Policies Zekai İnan, President of the Uşak Celiac PKU Together Association Ömre Ümran Aydın, Associate Professor Dr. Fulya Akyıldız (Advisor to the Rector), Instructor Halime Durkut (Director of the Civil Society Studies Applied Research Center), Chairman of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation Kerim Ezeri, and association members.

Expressing happiness for Uşak University's continuous support for individuals with celiac disease, the President of the Celiac PKU Together Association, Ömre Ümran Aydın, thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş.

Highlighting Uşak University's commitment to serving individuals with special needs as an "Accessible University," Rector Savaş stated, "Individuals with celiac sensitivity face serious problems in dining out. Our Celiac PKU Together Association approached us and provided information about these individuals. We conducted the necessary studies and prepared menus suitable for them. Uşak University is the first university in Turkey to prepare such a menu. We will continue to work for individuals with special needs."
